Beschreibung
The flesh is weak; the timber is crooked; people are cruel to each other, and stupid, and hurtful. But beauty comes from strange sources. There's something unsettling about Ottessa Moshfegh's stories, something dangerous, yet delightful and even laugh-out-loud funny. Her characters are unsteady on their feet; they yearn for connection and betterment, but they are often tripped up by their own baser impulses. From the author of "Eileen", shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.
