The catalogue describes - for the first time for the overwhelming majority - 133 medieval and early modern manuscripts and fragments not contained in archives, dating from the 9th to the end of the 16th century and held in a total of 23 small private, church and public collections in Vienna and Lower Austria, created primarily in the Southern German-Austrian area but also in Italy, Bohemia and the Netherlands.
