The project "Foreign und Foreignness" is an art and research Project developed by three SRH Universites based in Germany and the Lebanese alba University, with the participation of students and instructors from Germany, Lebanon, Syria and other countries. Due to the high number of refugees from Syria, who came to Germany and Lebanon in recent years, a scientific-aesthetic discussion leading to creative approaches became highly relevant to better understand the subject of "Foreign an Foreignness". In the context of interdisciplinary workshops in Beirut, Venice and Berlin, essays, films, photo series, graphics an installations were produced, which conjunction with the research results illustrate the wide sprectrum of the controversial subject of "Foreign and Foreignnes". These works are summarized in this publication.
