It's 2007 and Russell and Corrine Calloway are trying to raise a family in New York. Obama and Clinton are fighting for leadership, and the Lehman Brothers scandal looms. Meanwhile, Russell is running his own publishing company, and clinging to their downtown loft, and Corrine manages a charity, and is desperate to move somewhere with more space.
