Beschreibung
The aim of this first volume on Upper Silesia is to present an area of great cultural, historical, social and natural diversity from a transdisciplinary perspective. Reflection on the multiple perspectives, identity, and diversity of this region is the common denominator of the works collected in this volume, which focus on the legal, sociological, historical, cultural, geographic-economic, hydrological, ecological, climatological, and natural aspects from the past to the present. The selection of texts is intended to show the complexity and topicality of the subject of Upper Silesia and to indicate its originality. The volume is seen as the result of comparative research, in which researchers from various scientific disciplines discuss selected aspects of the diversity of Upper Silesia.
